Officers searched the illegal gambling facility in the 1400 block of Kenmore Boulevard around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night.
AKRON, Ohio - A gambling scheme in Akron resulted in the search and seizure of an illegal operation and the arrest of three people, according to Akron police.
Police said the search resulted from an ongoing investigation, which involved numerous probable cause traffic stops for suspicious and other illegal activity at the location. During the search, police said they seized 22 gambling machines, over $14,000 in cash, methamphetamines, a handgun and “other equipment.”
Two men, 52 and 63 years old, and a woman, 30, were arrested and charged with operating a gambling house and prohibition of illegal gambling. “We recognize that illegal gambling creates public safety and nuisance-related concerns for our community and will continue to tackle these issues together,” Akron police said.St. Ignatius High School baseball team run into Browns star Myles Garrett in Tokyo
