“And this is not to mention that in the study by ITC that I cited, we already have $8.3-billion untapped export potential to EU, so the effect of having this disrupted is really big,” the Trade official said. The Trade official said the negotiating team is working hard to finish the negotiations “as soon as possible,” adding that they have “inherent pressure” to conclude given that the Philippines is hitting the upper middle income status.
