Ever since 2M opened in 2016, it has been lauded for its meats, sides and everything in between, which blend classic Texas meats with Mexico-influenced twists. Customers usually form a line well before opening hours, and the food tends to sell out within hours at the restaurant at 2731 W.W. White near Rigsby on the lower Southeast Side.

And when the Express-News launched its"52 Weeks of BBQ" series in 2018, it was named the best in the area.Co-owner Joe Melig said the truck is awaiting final permits from the city to get the smoke rolling.
Smoked brisket is served at 2M Smokehouse on South W.W. White Road in San Antonio. The barbecue restaurant is opening a food truck that will be located at the El Camino food truck park near Broadway.The meats and sides will be prepped and cooked at the restaurant, then transported to the property, Melig said, with a menu that may be slightly different from what's offered at the restaurant.
"Obviously, we'll have our signature brisket," Melig said."Customers will know they are eating 2M Smokehouse food."
