The winner of the largest Powerball jackpot in US history was spotted cruising Los Angeles in a vintage VW minibus that would make the Flower Children proud. Edwin Castro , who won the historic $2.04 billion prize back in 2022, looked straight out of the ’70s driving the 1958 Volkswagen Kombi Type 2 Double Cab along Sunset Boulevard on Sunday.
After winning the record amount a little over three years ago, Castro opted for the $998 million lump-sum payout and took home about $628 million after taxes.
