You *don't* have a period playlist?!
I make playlists for just about every aspect of my life—my morning skin-care routine, my commute, my weekend runs—which is why I also have a period playlist. You might be thinking, why make a playlist for your period? Well, maybe it’s the Pisces in me , but I love a good cry when I’m on my period., curl up in a ball, and listen to sad songs. While I know my cramps can’t be cured entirely by music, the feelings of nostalgia, heartbreak, and sadness help with all my emotions.
This playlist features mellow songs like “Cardigan” by Taylor Swift, “Mad” by Solange feat. Lil Wayne, “Ghostin” by Ariana Grande, and much more. Of course, a period playlist wouldn’t feel complete without “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis or just about any song by Adele. If throwbacks are more of your thing, jam out to ’90s and early ’00s songs from Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Avril Lavigne.
