“The 27 who tested positive form part of the second batch of those who were isolated at the CIW,” Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said in a statement on Saturday, April 25.The new patients were brought to the New Bilibid Prison quarantine area, bringing to 47 theat the facility, the BuCor said in a statement released on its official Facebook page also on Saturday.

The International Committee of the Red Cross donated 27 new folding beds and mattresses for the new patients. The BuCor said all other prison and penal farms across the country are still free from coronavirus infections.
