The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is spotlighting the case of a woman who was murdered 25 years ago in hopes of getting new information that could lead to an arrest.

On Sept. 8, 1999, Dawn Petterson’s body was found on the west side of what is now Squash Blossom Trail at Seminole Woods Boulevard in Palm Coast.According to the sheriff’s office, an investigation linked Petterson’s case with the murder of Andrea Ford in 1997 -- which also remains unsolved. 18-year-old mystery: Sister still advocating for her brother’s unsolved murder after his case went cold
