Geneseo, N.Y. A major lawsuit against motorcycle giant Harley-Davidson has been settled following a legal battle that lasted four years.
Harold Morris stands outside of the Livingston County Courthouse with Becky Schroeder , the sister of the late Pamela Sinclair. In June 2020, Sinclair was killed in a crash while she was riding a Harley-Davidson bike in North Township, Pennsylvania, with Morris, who was her boyfriend. Morris and Sinclair's family were awarded $120 million each in a lawsuit filed against Harley-Davidson .
Tuesday, a Livingston County jury awarded $120 million each to Harold Morris of Caledonia and the family of his late girlfriend, Pamela Sinclair. The lawsuit claimed the bike malfunctioned and was “defective and unreasonably dangerous," and argued that the company should be held accountable for its negligence.
