24-hour flash flood warning for 6 states

The Malaysian Meteorological Department, the Southeastern Asia-Oceania Flash Flood Guidance System and the Drainage Department warn that there is a risk of flash floods in the districts and sub-districts of 6 states due to forecasted heavy rain. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 22, 2023.

THE National Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre of the Irrigation and Drainage Department today issued an early alert over the possibility of flash floods within 24 hours in six states.For Muar district, the alert is issued for Mukim Sri Menanti, Mukim Ayer Hitam, Mukim Bandar, Mukim Jalan Bakri, Bandar Maharani and outskirts) and Pontian district .In Pahang, it involves three districts, namely Termerloh , Bera and Maran .
