SAN DIEGO — The San Diego County Sheriff's Office says it responded to a fatal shooting in Lemon Grove Wednesday night.According to the sheriff's office, deputies received several calls about gunshots in the 2200 block of Dain Court around 10:55 p.m. on Sept. 18. When they arrived on the scene, deputies found a 23-year-old man lying in the street with 'at least one' gunshot wound to his torso.
'What was going through my head was, 'Am I the one being targeted right now? Although it happened like six houses down, it did feel like this was happening at my own home,'' said Carla Reyes.'It's really sad. I mean mourning the 23-year-old who passed away very young. I mean, that's unsettling.'She and other residents said this isn't the first time something this has happened in this neighborhood.In mid-June, we reported a shooting in this same area.
