Allie and the hot soldier ride horses on a chilly beach, so you know they're truly in love. What is this, aBack to Noah, who finally has the means to buy the plantation of his dreams. He buses over to Charleston to confess his love to Allie, but she's literally mid-kiss—which he conveniently sees through a window— so he gets weirdly obsessed with fixing up the house so she'll come back to him.
Allie sees Noah in the paper and fully passes out, then takes a bath in her wedding dress. Very "Carrie Bradshaw developing an itch in her wedding gown and having to tear it off" energy! She takes a "cold feet" break from Lon and shows up at the restored home of Noah, who is looking more worn and beard-y than ever. Unfortunately, it really works on him.
In the 1940s, Allie and Noah flirtily catch up, but I don't hear a word they're saying because I'm too focused on her curled bangs. Oh God, Martha meets Allie and is incredibly nice to her and supportive of her bond with Noah, and literally all I want is a sequel for Martha where she meets a nice partner and gets the love she deserves.
