Kota Kinabalu’s popular Gaya Street is quiet as most shops stay closed except for those catering to takeaways.
Lahad Datu has the highest number of cases with 31, followed by Tawau , Kota Kinabalu , Kinabatangan , Sandakan , Beaufort, Kunak, Tuaran and Sipitang , Kota Belud , Putatan and Papar and Semporna . Traders at the local markets said they had been swarmed by shoppers early in the morning, but the crowd only lasted for a few hours.
