The skilled nursing facility at Friends Village at Woodstown will close and a new facility will be built.Operators of a continuing care community in Salem County have announced they will stop providing skilled nursing care for the time being, citing financial challenges complicated by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The closure and construction project is intended to keep the entire non-profit, Quaker-based community functioning, according to Petry. In all, 75 independent living residents occupy cottages and apartments at Friends Village, which also includes 61 assisted living units.
