The Ford Expedition first appeared for the 1997 model year, so it's only fitting that Ford would celebrate the full-size SUV's 30th birthday with a special new package. The 2027 Ford Expedition with the 30th Anniversary Appearance package offers a unique color combination along with special badging inside and out to commemorate this milestone.Blue Ember metallic, a color previously reserved for the Mustang Dark Horse, is now offered on this version of the Expedition. The 30th Anniversary package uses the Expedition Platinum's Stealth Appearance package as a basis, but while the Stealth pack typically comes only with a dark interior color, the 30th Anniversary model has the lighter Salt Crystal Gray upholstery.Huge 22-inch wheels with a unique dark finish are standard, and they have a '30 Years' emblem in the center caps. A similar badge is visible on the rear tailgate and the door sills, and the center console has an embossed logo.Ford hasn't said yet how much this package costs, but we assume that a 2027 Expedition that's this loaded with features will cost well over $80,000. Last year's Expedition Platinum with the Stealth Appearance package stickered for $80,620, so expect a price premium of a few thousand dollars for the 30th Anniversary package. It'll come standard with the Expedition's 400-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 and all-wheel drive.The current model is the fifth generation of the Expedition. When this nameplate first arrived for the 1997 model year, it was Ford's first true entry into the three-row full-size SUV segment. It hasn't achieved the same popularity as GM's wide range of truck-based SUVs, which includes the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, but the Expedition moved a significant 85,921 units in 2025.➡️ Skip the lot.
