The Altima is now powered exclusively by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 188 hp
Nissan has introduced the 2025 Altima, which no longer offers a 2.0-liter turbo. The sedan is now powered exclusively by a 2.5-liter four-pot producing 188 hp. There's also a new Special Edition package that adds a host of goodies. The Nissan Altima is rumored to be living on borrowed time and it’s being simplified in the wake of slowing sales. The biggest change is the elimination of the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which produced 248 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.
It costs $1,090 and adds body-color mirrors, a rear spoiler, a moonroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a gloss black finish. The upgrades continue inside with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger. The package also adds faux carbon fiber trim, illuminated sill plates, and remote start.
