The 2025 GMC Terrain will benefit from improved exterior design, and a new interior with up-to-date tech
GMC has teased the third-generation Terrain for the first time. The first image of the crossover shows updated headlights and front fascia. Expected to share a lot with the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox, GMC plans to reveal the Terrain later this year.
Here it is, folks. Our first look at the third-generation Terrain has been provided by GMC, giving us a taste of what the new headlights will look like. The teaser shows the more rugged AT4 model, hence the dark trim surrounding the grille. Widening our scope, it seems that the grille will grow with the generational update since the new headlights look narrower than those of the outgoing model. As ever, the crossover is expected to share a lot in common with the Chevrolet Equinox, which has also been redesigned for the 2025 model year. Now in its fourth generation, the Equinox grew two inches wider with its redesign but kept similar proportions to the 2024 model otherwise. 2023 GMC Terrain The big changes were to the interior, and we expect the GMC Terrain to benefit from a similar set of updates. They include an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in — a big improvement over the outgoing model's seven-inch touchscreen. Overall, the interior design of the Equinox just looks better, with soft-touch materials, and physical climate control buttons. Under the hood, the Equinox benefits from a refreshed 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The power unit still makes 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque, but new software improves fuel economy. Front-wheel-drive models get a CVT transmission, while all-wheel-drive models get an eight-speed auto. GMC says it will unveil the new Terrain later this year.
