Both the sedan and touring versions of the 2025 BMW 3 Series come with small but important updates
. Not only does it get a sleeker look inside & out, but the M3 Competition now makes more power with 530 PS from its TwinPower Turbo inline-six.
Like most of BMW's updates, the changes are subtle and not easily noticeable. Starting with the exterior, all looks to be the same with the car's signature kidney grille and eye-catching LED headlights & daytime running lights. However, BMW introduced new color finishes in the form of Arctic Race Blue Metallic and Vegas Red Metallic. The brand even added two new BMW Individual hues known as Frozen Pure Gray Metallic and Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic.
Hop inside and the 2025 3 Series greets occupants with a new flat-bottom steering wheel and “cascade” LED ambient lighting that can be set to nine different colors. The dashboard gets an upgraded Sensatec finish which is BMW speak for its high-quality synthetic leather, “Galvanic” controls which deliver a unique luster to the buttons & switch gears, and an updated BMW Operating System 8.5 that has a more simplified user interface and improved shortcuts in accessing menus/features.
Then there's the M340i which is equipped with a new 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six and gets 48V mild-hybrid assist. This allows the engine to crank out 391 PS and 539 Nm of pull, an increase of 4 PS and 39 Nm, respectively. Both the 330i and M340i are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
