What is there to do in Latrobe at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp? What should you bring and how should you prepare?

What can fans expect, especially with many changes to the training camp format this season?First, let’s get the basic information established. Every practice is open to the public. The dates for practices are July 25-28 and 30-31, August 1-4, 6-8, 11-12, and 14.
Those parking lots will open up at 7:30 a.m. for 10:30 a.m. practices. For 10:30 a.m. practices, gates to campus open at 8:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the parking lots will open at 10:30 a.m. for 1:55 p.m. practices. The gates will open at 11:00 a.m.When it comes to training camp, it can be a long day. Practices will last at least two hours, and if fans want autographs, it will take longer than that.
You can bring your own water and snacks into the stadium, and that can be useful. If you do not, the campus sells a variety of beverages and food. However, alcohol is prohibited from the campus. • Autographs can be had from any number of players. From T.J. Watt to Najee Harris, players are willing to sign autographs and do so on multiple days throughout training camp. So, if fans are looking for autographs, make sure to either bring an item, such as a hat, football, or shirt along with a sharpie for players to autograph. If you forget an item, memorabilia will be sold at the Steelers Pro Shop and Steelers Authentic Memorabilia near the entrance of campus.
• An ideal practice for first-timers is to attend the Friday Night Lights practice. Occurring on August 2 at Latrobe Memorial Stadium, the Steelers practice underneath the lights on a Friday night at 7 p.m., just like a high school game. If fans are looking for a place to eat or hit the bar after a practice, the iconic Sharky’s Cafe acts as both a bar and restaurant with an indoor and open air portion to the setting. Dino’s is a five-minute drive down the road. And DeNunzio’s, out by Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, offers some of the best food in the region.
