To set the record straight: It wasn’t actually his bulge that ended French pole-vaulter Anthony Ammirati’s Olympic journey. It just really looks like that’s what happened. The video of Ammirati’s attempt on Saturday has gone viral because, well, let’s watch.
Anthony Ammirati failed the bar and the commentators are clearly having a hard time acknowledging what happened 😂 HELP I'M DYINGknocked out of the competition, failing to make it to Monday’s pole-vault final, but it was not because of his dick. If you watch the video again , you can actually see that his shins and knees hit the bar first. His bulge knocking the bar down just adds insult to injury.
In pole vaulting, the goal is to successfully clear a series of higher and higher jumps. Ammirati successfully made it over the 5.40- and 5.60-meter heights, and his viral moment captures his third attempt at clearing the bar at 5.70 meters. Because he never successfully made it over the tallest height, he didn’t advance to the final.While Ammirati’s Olympic dreams may have been squashed, there is a silver lining to this whole thing.
