Since transferring from Immaculate Conception this summer, Watson and Lesaine have combined for 51 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss and 13 sacks in seven games for Irvington this year.
When Penn State James Franklin sat in the stands at Montclair high school on Saturday while scouting four-star Irvington safety, who committed to Penn State on June 16, two players who he hadn’t seen before in Blue Knights uniforms piqued his interest.

They felt like no one knew who they were and wanted to prove to everyone that they are two of the best players in New Jersey.”Standing 6-foot-4, and 285 pounds, Watson plays fast, hard and is a handful.
“Jahide has a history of playing wideout, tight end and lots of basketball, which has really helped his movement,” Pierre said. “He’s listed as a tight end but will play defensive end in college, and brings physicality and skill to the defensive line.”
