The Chinese-spec E-Class is 5.6 inches longer than the standard model, mostly thanks to it's stretched wheelbase
Mercedes took the wraps off the new and stretched E-Class L in China, half a year after the debut of the standard W214. The long wheelbase version of the executive sedan makes for a cheaper alternative to the larger S-Class flagship, offering plenty of space, tech, and comfort for the rear passengers. Visually, the E-Class L is distinguished by the longer rear doors, the thicker C-pillars and rear quarter glass, and the special emblem on the D-pillars, making it look more like a Maybach.
The rear passengers benefit from increased knee room, reclining seatbacks, and electrically adjustable leg rests. Extra amenities include the neck-heating function on the rear headrests, the dual-phone wireless charging pad integrated into the armrest, and a high-end Burmester sound system with seat vibration effects. There is also a special button for electrically folding the front passenger seat so you can stretch your legs if you are being chauffeured.
