Not every model coming out of Mercedes has to be a fire-breathing, four-cylinder rocket. For many buyers, comfort and style are paramount above all else, especially for those looking for the open-air driving experience. Mercedes plans to capture these leisurely buyers with its new CLE Cabriolet lineup.Blending the former E-Class and C-Class coupes together, the CLE Cabriolet fills the drop-top gap in Mercedes' lineup, though its pricing structure goes far beyond its CLE Coupe sibling.
Equipping the sport suspension package also integrates a wider range of suspension and steering weight adjustments through Mercedes' Dynamic Select controls.Creating a positive drag coefficient out of a roofless vehicle isn't exactly easy, but Mercedes has made some key adjustments to the CLE Cabriolet to keep it stable and efficient. Mercedes' proprietary electric wind deflector system is used on the windshield and rear headrests to help fuel economy and passenger comfort.
