2024 GMC Sierra EV gets wild looks, 400 miles of range.
Like most EVs, you'll find the GMC Sierra EV's battery in the floor of the truck, powering two electric motors, one at the front and another at the rear. Pop it into"Max Power" mode, and the two motors can produce a combined total of 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a claimed 0-60 time of less than 4.5 seconds—frankly ridiculous for a vehicle of this size.
When you're not driving, the GMC Sierra EV can act like a generator, offloading up to 10.2 kW of power through up to 10 outlets, allowing the user to power things like tools or an entire campsite. GMC says it could even help charge another EV. And thanks to GM's 800-volt architecture, there's 350kW charging speeds available, meaning the Sierra EV can pump 100 miles of range into the battery in roughly 10 minutes.GMC is launching the Sierra EV with a trim called the Denali Edition 1.
