The 2023 inductees were Sheryl Crow, Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, George Michael, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson and The Spinners. Recognized for their musical influence were DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray, while Chaka Khan, Al Cooper and Bernie Taupin were honored for their musical excellence, and Don Cornelius received the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Other musical luminaries presenting and/or performing at the star-studded event — which streamed live on+ — included LL Cool J , Elton John , Dave Matthews, St. Vincent, Chris Stapleton, Ice-T, Brandi Carlile, Queen Latifah, Big Boi and New Edition.
