The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles aced this year's NFL Draft in Kansas City

Many believed the Cardinals would target an edge rusher towards the top of the draft, but I believed new GM Monti Ossenfort needed a cornerstone left tackle to protect their investment in Kyler Murray. Ossenfort did that and acquired a 2024 first-rounder in the process. Syracuse’s Williams has a Day 1 skillset, but slipped to Day 2 due to injury. Gaines and Pappoe were two of my favorite Day 3 selections.2 Steve Avila, G, TCU; 3 Byron Young, DE, Tennessee; 3 Kobie Turner, DT, Wake Forest; 4 Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia; 5 Nick Hampton, OLB, Appalachian State; 5 Warren McClendon, OT, Georgia; 5 Davis Allen, TE, Georgia; 5 Puka Nacua, WR, BYU; 6 Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, CB, TCU; 6 Ochaun Mathis, DE, Nebraska; 6 Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss; 7 Ethan Evans, P, Wingate; 7 Desjuan Johnson, EDGE, Toledo.GM Les Snead did a great job replenishing a depleted roster due to trades, free agency and injuries.3 Ji’Ayir Brown, S, Penn State; 3 Jake Moody, K, Michigan; 3 Cameron Latu, TE, Alabama; 5 Darrell Luter, Jr., CB, South Alabama; 5 Robert Beal, Jr., DE, Georgia; 6 Dee Winters, ILB, TCU; 7 Brayden Willis, TE, Oklahoma; 7 Ronnie Bell, WR, Michigan; 7 Jalen Graham, OLB, Purdue.There weren’t a lot of holes on this roster for GM John Lynch to fill. Moody may be the only immediate starter in the group, but it won’t be long before Brown is pairing with fellow safety Talanoa Hufanga to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. The rest of this haul was about replenishing depth, but I project Luter, Beal and Winters as eventual starters. My one criticism is not addressing depth on the offensive line.1 Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois; 1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State; 2 Derick Hall, DE, Auburn; 2 Zach Charbonnet, RB, UCLA; 4 Anthony Bradford, OG, LSU; 4 Cameron Young, DT, Mississippi State; 5 Mike Morris, DE, Michigan; 5 Olusegun Oluwatimi, C, Michigan; 6 Jerrick Reed II, S, New Mexico; 7 Kenny McIntosh, RB, Georgia.Kudos to GM John Schneider for sticking to his board and taking Witherspoon with the fifth pick — the Seahawks almost never draft defensive backs on the first two days of the draft. Schneider also found his starting center in the fifth round , and drafted two of my favorite running backs in this draft.
