Some trims have been dropped, including all-wheel-drive and the turbo powertrain.
With the powerful 201 horsepower powertrain's discontinuation, all Souls now feature the same 2.0-liter I-4 motor good for 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque on all trims, linked to a CVT . The LX and EX trims are up by $500, and the S and GT-Line are up $700 over last year.
All models also only come with front-wheel-drive, further blurring the lines between whether this is more of a hatchback or an SUV. It's stablemate, the Kia Seltos, which is around the same size and slightly more expensive, still comes with AWD if you need it. Kia says the 2023 Soul will hit dealers by the end of this summer.
