The 14-year-old charged with the murder of four people at a Georgia high school denied making online threats during an interview with investigators in 2023.

Gray's father informed investigators that he had firearms in the home that were used for hunting. Gray was allowed to use the firearms under supervision and did not have "unfettered access to them," the father told investigators. The report noted that Gray's father was advised to keep the firearms "locked away" and to keep Gray out of school "until this matter could be resolved."A separate sheriff's investigator spoke with Gray's father about the Discord account. The father wasn't familiar with the associated email address, according to the report. He also told the investigator that his son did not know or speak Russian.
