– Let’s drop back in time to early 2020, after we got a promising Hangout lineup but before the pandemic blew it away. Eilish, then still in her initial arc to superstardom, was arguably the most exciting thing on the bill. For 2022 the fest brought back some of those who would have been on the 2020 bill, including headliner Post Malone, Illennium, Kane Brown, Louis the Child, The Head and The Heart and Megan Thee Stallion.
But– Hangout forayed more than usual into country music in 2022 than it has in the past, but it wasn’t cookie-cutter mainstream country. You got Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Joy Oladokun and Breland, for example. If you wanted to crank things up to 11, this guy seems like an obvious choice.– Hangout has a track record for bringing in rising rap stars from Alabama, giving fans a look at Chika in 2019 and Flo Milli in 2022.
