2023 BMW X1: Consumer shopping guide:
has redesigned the X1 SUV for 2023. A more powerful four-cylinder engine resides behind a bolder dual-kidney grille. Its larger exterior dimensions promise slightly more interior space for passengers and cargo than the previous generation offered.This time around there's only one trim to choose from, and it comes with standard all-wheel drive; the front-wheel drive sDrive28i version isn't continuing on into the new generation.
The xDrive28i comes with plenty of standard equipment, but we'd suggest adding the optional Convenience package, which includes keyless entry, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.Like the outgoing model, the 2023 X1 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, but the new model boasts 241 horsepower, 13 more than before.
