What works for Carlsbad is not always what works for Pacific Beach, yet we saw strict lockdowns and school closures in both communities and around the state at large.

A: As you stated, California already has the strictest guns laws in the nation. What we need is to rewrite laws to harshly prosecute crimes that include weapons and not let felons who have a history of gun crimes out of prison early to commit more violent crime.
