The Terror, a 2018 horror show that has 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, has become a streaming hit on Netflix. AMC recently secured a deal with Netflix that has meant some of its biggest series would also be available on Netflix. 15 shows in total, including spinoffs of The Walking Dead and Interview with the Vampire, have been exposed to a bigger U.S. audience as a result while still being identified as AMC Originals.

According to data provided by Reelgood, which tracks performance on streaming, the horror anthology The Terror is among the AMC shows that have found new life on streaming after being made available on Netflix. For the week of August 22 through August 28, The Terror landed in the tenth spot for the top shows across all streaming platforms. Bad Monkey, the Apple TV+ crime comedy starring Vince Vaughn, came in first on the same chart.

What's The Terror About? It's An Anthology Based On A Novel Close Premiering in March 2018, The Terror season 1 is based on Dan Simmons' 2007 novel of the same name, and it consists of 10 episodes. The story follows two ships, one of which is named Terror, as they venture into uncharted territory. But the ships are soon frozen and trapped in ice, with the people on board having to survive cruel weather conditions. They're also stalked by an elusive menace.

The Terror season 1's cast includes Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, Paul Ready, Adam Nagaitis, Ian Hart, Nive Nielsen, and Ciarán Hinds. It received positive reviews, with a lot of notice for the show's ability to build tension. Breaking down the 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the anthology's first season got an impressive score of 8.1/10 based on 70 reviews.
