From Main Street to West Temple, 200 South is closed in Salt Lake City as police investigate a
SALT LAKE CITY — Police have closed 200 South from Main Street to West Temple in Salt Lake City and evacuated the U.S. Bank Tower while they investigate a "suspicious item" reported in the area Monday morning.
Police officers responded to the scene with the Hazardous Devices Unity, and have been working with firefighters, the Air National Guard, FBI and the Salt Lake County Health Department."We are investigating a suspicious circumstance near 20 W. 200 South," Salt Lake police said in a post to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter. Our Hazardous Devices Unit is responding to help investigate. 200 South is closed from Main to West Temple.
