JERUSALEM/GAZA/SDEROT (Reuters): Israeli forces clashed with Hamas on Sunday (Oct 8), 24 hours after a surprise attack in which nearly 500 people were killed in the deadliest day of violence for 50 years.
GEORGE TOWN: Police arrested 200 men and women for participating in illegal motorcycle racing and performing dangerous motorcycle stunts in Penang.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said the arrest was part of their Ops Bersepadu carried out early Sunday ."The group consisting of 180 men and 20 women were caught in the island's popular hotspot area for illegal racing activities," he said. ACP Soffian said the ops were carried out between 1am and 4am in collaboration with the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation department."We then surrounded the area at 3am," he said in a statement today.
ACP Soffian said the motorcyclists tried to escape through the parking area of a supermarket and adjacent buildings but were caught by the police."We arrested one man for having a fake registration number and issued 126 summonses," he said.
