“Our shelter has been bursting at the seams for the last couple of months. Now, in addition to our already taxed resources, we were called upon to help more animals in dire need.”
ATTICA, Ohio - More than 20 neglected animals are finally getting the care they desperately need after being rescued from an Attica home, but the Huron County Humane Society needs the community’s help.
Four deputies assisted the humane society with executing the warrant in the 2000 block of County Line Road 10 S on Aug. 23, HCSO said.“When it rains, it pours!” HCHS stated. HCHS said it does not appear that people were living in the conditions.Due to the severe matting of their fur, HCHS said volunteers had difficulty figuring out which dogs were males, females, and nursing.
All of the matted dogs are also groomed and can move freely with their “trans-fur-mation,” HCSO shared.
