Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic may be exclusive to the Legends continuity, but several aspects of the game have returned to official canon.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is widely regarded as one of the greatest Star Wars games ever made, and while it now falls under the "Legends" banner, many of its characters, planets, and events still exist in the official canon. From fun easter eggs in the movies and TV shows to entire storylines from Legends becoming canon, KOTOR still has a big impact on modern Star Wars storytelling.

18 Malachor Malachor V served as the final battleground of the Mandalorian Wars and the final level of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords. Before turning to the dark side, Revan led his army in a final attack on the Mandalorian invaders, single-handedly defeating Mandalore the Ultimate. However, Revan's forces unleashed the Mass Shadow Generator, a superweapon that destroyed anyone on the surface and left Malachor V a scarred wasteland.

14 Tatooine Was Once A Water Planet KOTOR first revealed that Tatooine was once an ocean planet, a history which was expanded in Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema. This carried over to canon in The Book of Boba Fett when the titular character explained that the Tuskens had laid claim to the Dune Sea ever since the oceans dried.

10 Peragus System The Peragus Mining Facility was the first level of KOTOR II, introducing players to the game's main characters. The system was made canon in Star Wars Rebels: Chopper Chase, an online game that takes place sometime during the show's first two seasons.
