Watford’s role expanded late in the season. In the Nets’ final 11 games, when Watford made his only two starts of the season, he averaged 12.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.4 minutes per game.on a one-year contract on Aug. 3, 2023, after being released by Portland on June 30, one day before his $1,836,096 salary for the 2023-24 season would have become guaranteed.
The Alabama Sports Writers Association chose Watford as the state’s Mr. Basketball in 2018 and 2019 as he set the ASHAA career rebounds record with 1,909.
