Shortly after 3 a.m., the two officers responded to a panic alarm in the 5000 block of FM 741, between Crandall and Forney, according to an email statement from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office. When the officers arrived, they encountered a man and shots were fired.The officers were taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas for treatment, the statement said. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
