Two suspects were charged with second-degree murder Wednesday in a deadly West Seattle shooting that happened on July 23, 2023.
One of the suspects, 22-year-old Derrion Lewis, was linked to two other murders that happened within the same week, according to King County prosecutors.
Documents state Parker fled the scene before crashing his vehicle on the West Seattle Bridge and later died at the hospital. Documents also state detectives believed Lewis and Thomas were tied to a local gang and were targeting members of a rival gang.Thomas was arrested this week. Lewis had been in custody since August on charges related to two other murders in King County.
The other deadly shooting occurred outside a Des Moines grocery store on July 24, 2023. Lewis was convicted in 2017 for first-degree robbery and second-degree assault and in 2019 for two counts of custodial assault.
