The fierce storms, which rolled in from the west, left scars of downed utility poles and trees, ripped apart roofs and even caused a business jet to careen off a runway as it landed at Monmouth Jet Center airport in Wall. However, no injuries or fatalities were reported, municipal officials said Sunday.
