The two organizations said that a goal of the affiliation would be to improve care innovation while also improving quality of care and family experiences of care. The two organizations said the move would also help them save money and provide the ability to work with more private insurances and Medicare Advantage plans.Hospice of Central PA’s Home Hospice program and administrative offices are located at 1320 Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township and at 401 Beechwood Ave. in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County. Hospice of Central PA’s six-bed residential center, Carolyn’s House, would remain at 1701 Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township.
Hospice & Community Care has approximately 375 employees and Hospice of Central PA has approximately 134 employees. There would be no layoffs or terminations of employees, the two organizations said.
