, 27, of Montgomery, on March 3 and Tra’von Charles Rogers, 24, of Prattville, on March 5, to two years in federal prison. Both will serve three years of supervised release after their prison terms. According to their plea agreements and other court records, Rogers and Sheppard took part in a scheme from March 2022 through February 2025 with, 28, of Montgomery, to steal mail and illegally alter or counterfeit checks. The conspirators then deposited the fraudulently altered checks into numerous bank accounts.A sentencing hearing for the fourth co-conspirator, Cedric Lanoid Hunter Jr., 24, of Montgomery, is scheduled for next month. Oliver was previously sentenced to 130 months, just under 11 years, for his role in the scheme.
