2 killed, 2 others hurt in crash near Cook County Jail
The video above is from a previous report. CHICAGO â Two people were killed, and two others were hospitalized after a crash near the Leighton Criminal Courthouse and Cook County Jail Sunday morning. Chicago police said two cars collided just after 5 a.m. in the 2600 block of South California Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood. All four people were taken to hospitals. Two of the victims, who were passengers in the involved cars, were pronounced dead.
Sinai Hospital Sunday morning, where they died. Police later confirmed Sunday afternoon that the second passenger died at Stroger Hospital. The ages of the victims were not released. Two other people were taken to Stroger â a 37-year-old woman, who was a driver in one of the cars, was listed in serious condition. The fourth person described as a male, was in critical condition. A video shared on the Citizen App showed the scene after the crash with one car flipped on its side.
