SANTEE , Calif. — The San Diego County Sheriff's Department has identified the two people found dead inside a Santee home Tuesday.The pair were identified as Michael Sheehan, 74, and his wife, 78-year-old Beverly Slater-Sheehan. 'The autopsies in the case have been completed. The preliminary results indicate the manner of death for both Beverly and Michael were a gunshot wound. The cause of death for Beverly was homicide. The cause of death for Michael was suicide.
Michael has been identified as the only suspect in the death,' the department said. Deputies responded to a radio call at approximately 11:05 a.m. about two dead adults in a home on the 300 block of Lantern Crest Way. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the deaths of an elderly man and woman, both of whom appeared to have sustained head trauma.Anyone with information is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 285-6330 or after hours at 565-5200.
