THE Philippine Embassy in Ankara, Turkey on Friday confirmed that the two Filipinos who were reported to have been missing were found among the dead in the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.'It is with deepest regret that the Embassy must inform the public of the passing of two Filipinos. Both were earlier reported to be missing in Antakya,' the Philippine Embassy said in a statement posted on its official facebook account.
'The embassy and the consulate general express their deepest condolences and are in coordination with the victims' families in both the Philippines and in Turkey,' the statement added.Meanwhile, the embassy also confirmed reports that a Filipino said to be missing in Antakya was found alive.The embassy assured that it will continue to lead the Philippine rescue and evacuation team in Turkey to account for all Filipinos in affected regions.
