AKRON , Ohio - The mother and grandfather of a two-year-old Akron girl who died of a fentanyl overdose were sentenced in Summit County Court of Common Pleas Monday.Kayera lenoir says on Oct. 27, 2022 she woke up to find her 2 year old daughter dead.“There was trash, food, discarded food containers, dog feces all over the home,” said the prosecutor.
On Sept. 10, her mother, Kayera Lenoir, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.“Valentina can’t defend herself she’s two, she was 2, “ said Judge Croce. “There’s nothing she can do to protect herself, nothing she can do to reach out and ask for help”.He told the Judge he doesn’t remember much of that night, but does remember leaving Valentina with someone from the neighborhood.
