m. Shortly after, they received multiple reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle that had driven off the road and struck a tree. Arriving officers found a black 2023 Toyota Highlander fully engulfed in flames with two individuals inside. Officers attempted to extricate them but were unsuccessful, the Jackson Police Department said in aThe two victims, whose identities have not been confirmed, were pronounced dead at the scene after the fire was extinguished, officials said.
