Two business owners said they are days away from reopening after a tornado hit them on Beach Boulevard.

– They are making the final repairs so they can get back to serving their community.

Rosalia Banderas is the 11-year-old daughter of Lisandra Sanchez who is the owner of 90 Miles from Cuba. “Yesterday, we came in cleaned everything deeply, and then we put our split on so air can flow through,” Banderas said.Portable AC, cleaner, and elbow grease are what they are cooking with at 90 Miles from Cuba.They’re closed until the AC unit on the roof is replaced. Every customer who calls or stops by the restaurant gets them more excited.Next door is barbershop owner Kelvin Hernandez who said he’s ready to see the chairs filled.

“I don’t work for two weeks and all my barbers called me to check how long everything is going to be fixed,” Hernandez said.“Paying attention to all the details and what the client sees,” Hernandez said. “If you see their reviews and everything, all the clients say the same, like everything is clean.”“The most important thing with this family in this business is probably that tradition,” Banderas said. “We’re trying to spread the tradition.
