TWO candidates for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections 2023 and another person were killed in a shooting incident in Cotabato City on Monday evening, October 23, 2023.In a report reaching Camp Crame, the fatalities were identified as Nur-Moqtadin Butucan and Alfar Singh Ayunan Pasawiran, both candidates for barangay councilor of Rosary Heights 12 and Barangay Kalaganan, respectively. The other fatality was Faisal Abas.
The police arrested 12 suspects identified as Police Master Sergeant Pauti Dianal Mamalapat, Juhalidin Ladesla Abdul who is a candidate for chairman of Barangay Rosary Heights 12, Jayson Bansuan, Surin Alon Kamad, Daniel Gumat Paguital, Nordin Gueamel Alay, Abedin Saban Guinat, Buts Saban Tepay, Dixi Mahinay Garcia, Arman Mamalangkal and Ronda Midtimbang Bansuan.
