Two people were arrested in separate shootings in Mobile Sunday.

The first happened around 11 a.m. Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded to the Beverly Motel at 4384 Government Blvd., where they found a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injury, which police said was not life threatening.

The MPD said that while officers were on the scene, shooting suspect -- Daavon Wilson, 25 -- returned and was taken into custody. Several hours later, just before 7:30 p.m. officers responded to a local hospital in reference to a victim with a gunshot wound. They discovered the incident occurred in the 1800 block of Ward Court.

Police said they learned the suspect shot the victim during a verbal altercation while he was inside his vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and Michael Minor, 52, was arrested, police said.
