The Opelika Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding the suspect in two recent robberies.

) - Two men have been arrested in connection to two recent Opelika robberies, according to the Opelika Police Department. Manuel Lorenzo Pascual , 25, of Opelika , was wanted on two outstanding warrants for robbery, related to two separate incidents that happened in the 1200 block of Monroe Avenue on Oct.

5 and Oct. 7. In both cases, witnesses say the suspect brandished a handgun, demanded money, and then fled on foot. Pascual turned himself in to the Dadeville Police Department Tuesday. He was promptly transferred into the custody of the Opelika Police Department and charged with five counts of first degree robbery. OPD said Dearious Jaheim Joiner, 22, also of Opelika, was arrested Saturday and charged with three counts of first degree robbery.This is an ongoing investigation.
